MOTOCROSS ACTION MID-WEEK REPORT

MOTOCROSS ACTION MID-WEEK REPORT

Rider: Cooper Webb

Cooper Webb was one of the best riders from a very young age. From his time on 65’s, he was picked up by Red Bull to be a part of their Jams program. This also helped him become affiliated with Honda as he moved up to 85’s also racing 150s for them as the bike was new at the time. He  won Loretta Lynns four times and was usually beaten by Adam Cianciarulo, who has won eleven times in the past, and that was just through Supermini. However, Webb was dedicated to becoming a champion as he trained harder than most and worked on technique from a young age. In his final race on minicycles, he moved over to the KTM team before signing with Yamaha for big bikes. When moving to the 250, Webb gained more success, and in his rookie season of pro motocross, secured a podium spot at the final round at Lake Elsinore. From there his results continued to improve through Supercross. Through the 2015 and 2016 Supercross and Motocross seasons he was the man to beat securing three championships (two in Supercross and one in motocross) that year. He would go on the win in the 450 class as well becoming a two-time champion. Webb has just surpassed ten years in the pro ranks and to this day is still one of the most feared riders on the track.

2024 AMA 250 NATIONAL MOTOCROSS CHAMPION

Haiden Deegan became the 2024 250 motocross champion with one race left to go in the series.
Haiden Deegan won the 2024 250 motocross championship in the first moto at Budds Creek where he had an impressive lead over the rest of the field and took the moto win. Deegan has been nothing shy of amazing this year and was favored to win the series. Showing exponential growth since turning pro, he has proven that he is a force to reckon with. Though many don’t care for his podium speeches, no one has questioned the speed of this young racer. Haiden will continue to improve heading into Supercross and if we had to bet, this is the start of an amazing career.

ROCZEN TO RACE THE 250 CLASS THIS WEEKEND AT IRONMAN

Ken Roczen will race the 250 class this weekend at the Ironman National.

Ken Roczen returned to racing at Unadilla just a couple of weekends ago and then sat out the Budds Creek National as he prepares to race in the 250 class for the final motocross race of the year at Ironman. It has been ten years since Roczen has raced this class, and it will interesting to see how he performs alongside the young up-and-coming generation of riders. Ken has always been one of the fastest riders on the track and still grabs good results in the 450 class. Ken will attempt to once again grab a win in the 250 division.
